Your Wedding
If you want a personalized ceremony that you will remember as truly what you wanted, contact me. I will work with you to get every detail as you want it. Be creative or use one of many existing vows that I can offer you. I can provide ideas of common vows, then add your own touches. I'm here to help make your day a beautiful memory. This is a day that will reverberate in your memories 30 years from now. . . so make it great.
Location is everything
I am willing to travel anywhere within Massachusetts or New Hampshire. NH now offers JP licenses for one event from the Town/City that you want to marry in.
Fees/costs
The state sets a basic fee, which covers officiating at a wedding only. All JP's that I have spoken to charge additional fees for a rehearsal, providing vows, etc. I do not charge any extra fees unless your ceremony requires travel/hotel expenses.
Massachusetts just increased fees affective April 1st 2009. Currently, ceremonies in the City of Brockton, where I am a JP start with the state set basic fee of $100.00 and $150.00 anywhere else in Massachusetts. A New Hampshire wedding would have the addtional fee of a license to perform your wedding, set by the town or city you get married in. Contact me and let me know where you plan to get married. I will then get in touch with the city or town and get back to you with the fee. It will be the basic fee plus license cost only.
The average time put into preparation for a larger wedding by the JP is 6-8 hours which includes the rehearsal, meeting with the couple for details, etc and many JP's charge by the hour for this time. By my charging only the state set fee, you could save many hundreds of dollars.
I can also provide help to the wedding planner, if one is hired and can recommend a wonderful wedding planner. I have contacts at several restaurants. Many are great for providing a package deal that includes flowers, food(per plate) and the cake for what most charge per plate just for the food. I'm happy to help in any way I can.
